How my business grow higher
I was born in Nigeria, My dad sold rice and beans and my mum sold provisions – they were business people. I started this provision store with N20,000, and then I heard about St Jude Empowering Center. Someone recommended them to me and I told my secretary to go and register for me. They asked me to gather about ten people, which I did.
I started with a loan of N40,000 and now I’ve risen higher. I used that first forty thousand naira to buy more food stuff for my store. I also run a bar business and I sell the papers as well. People who use paper in bulk come to me to buy. That’s a separate business from the provision store. For the paper business, I go to Mushin in Lagos every week to get the papers to sell. St Jude Empowering Center has helped this business as well because the bar business needs more money to run.
